Thank you to all who contributed their words of wisdom and support to this special letter—it means the world to our youth.

AQHYA challenges youth members to make every moment, every opportunity, and every ride count. Join us in 2026 as AQHYA encourages all members to act with purpose, lead with intention, and make a meaningful impact throughout their American Quarter Horse journey.

The 2026 AQHYA World is tentatively scheduled July 29th-August 9th, 2026 at the OKC Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City.

Make It Count is the American Quarter Horse Youth Association theme for 2026.

As AQHYA members, we’re part of a community that’s passionate, driven, and built around our shared love for the American Quarter Horse. Youth members are empowered to draw from their unique backgrounds and experiences to shape the future of the horse industry, developing skills that build confident leaders and lasting influence. When driven, high-achieving youth come together around the horse we all value, the result is an environment where effort matters, progress is intentional, and success is earned.

The Make It Count theme encourages youth members to take ownership of their journey – setting goals, pushing themselves to the next level, and making the most of every opportunity AQHYA offers. From education and horsemanship to competition and leadership, AQHYA programming gives members countless ways to turn effort into achievement, all while building friendships and memories that last long after the year ends.

Throughout the year, AQHYA will encourage participation and storytelling through social media initiatives that highlight how members are making their moments count.
